Purpose

Hello SAP Community Colleagues,

Discover powerful new SAP Business Data Cloud Modeling Foundation - Integration & Calculation features within SAP Analytics Cloud QRC3 2026 edition!!

Overview

Here is a short overview of each feature:

Data Integration Topics

1. Introduction of Data Import API jobs into Job Monitor

The monitoring of Data Import API jobs is now possible within Job Monitor of SAP Analytics Cloud.

2. Navigation from Standard Model to Job Monitor

It is now possible to navigate from the SAP Analytics Cloud Standard model to Job Monitor.

Calculations Topics

1. Re-use of SAP Datasphere Currency Rate Tables in SAP Analytics Cloud

SAP Datasphere currency rate tables that reside in a space can be used by Seamless Planning models in SAP Analytics Cloud.

2. Allow Version Dimension Selection in Calculations

The inclusion of a version dimension to a model calculation now allows results to be displayed.

Let’s look at the Data Integration Topics in further detail:

  1. Introduction of Data Import API into Job Monitor

In our QRC2 2026 release, we introduced the Data Export API & Delta Calculation jobs into Job Monitor, providing customers with observability and self-monitoring capabilities of their export API jobs.

We extend this capability, in QRC3 2026 release, with the introduction of the Data Import API in Job Monitor of SAP Analytics Cloud Data Import API jobs include the import of Master Data, Fact Data, Public Dimension Data, Currency & Unit that use 2-legged and 3-legged connection types.

Users with read access to an artifact, including a Standard or Seamless Planning model, public dimension, currency rate table, standard unit table or unit description table can view all import jobs for that specific object inside Job Monitor.

Select an individual job to gain further insights, such as the number of records that have been imported, the API running times, and API configuration details used as part of the Rest API criteria.

The Push, Validate, Process and Write stages, seen in the Steps section, display the numbers of data rows that successfully pass through each section.

In the event of failed job, a View Details link in the Status section, allows for deeper analysis of failed records.

On the main Job Monitor page, a new Target Object column allows users to navigate to the target import object.

The retention period for Data Import API jobs is 7 days.

Check out the SAP Analytics Cloud REST API Guide for further information on how to leverage the power of Data Export API and Data Import API to meet your data integration needs in Business Data Cloud.

 2. Navigate from model to Job Monitor

To compliment the introduction of Data Export API, Delta Calculations and Data Import API jobs in Job Monitor, a new navigation option is available in the SAP Analytics Cloud Standard and Seamless Planning models.

This provides an ease-of-use workflow between models and Job Monitor for modelers and planners in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Let’s look at the Model Calculation Topics in further detail:

1. Re-use of SAP Datasphere Currency Rate Tables in SAP Analytics Cloud

SAP Datasphere Currency Rate tables align closely with how S/4 and BW systems handle currencies.  Local currency rate tables that reside in a space can now be consumed by Seamless Planning models, without the need to manually re-create additional currency rate tables in SAP Analytics Cloud with the same information.

Shared rate tables from other spaces may also be consumed by pointing the local TCURR view to the shared space.

Point local TCURR view to shared table.

This reduces implementation effort, reduces the need to replicate rates into SAC and accelerates time-to-value for Business Data Cloud customers.

To configure Currency Conversion in a Seamless Planning model using a SAP Datasphere Currency Rate Table ensure that the local TCURR tables and views are created in the same space as the model and are populated with rates.

In the model open Model Preferences, choose the Conversion tab and enable Currency Conversion

Choose SAP Datasphere to automatically select the SAP.CURRENCY.VIEW.TCURR view that must already exist in the same space as the model.

Enter the mandatory Client ID.

Configure a measure of type “Currency” using a fixed rate value or a currency rate value from a dimension.

Create a Currency Conversion Measure and enter the source measure.

Choose a target currency using a fixed currency value, a currency from a dimension or a currency from a variable.

The mandatory Exchange Rate Type contains pre-populated values from the SAP Datasphere TCURR view.  (KURST column in TCURR).

Select the desired date from which the currency is effective from.

Results are seen in the Calculation Preview panel of the seamless planning model.

In the event of missing rates, values must be populated in the TCURR and TCURF tables in the SAP Datasphere space.

The Currency Conversion measure can now be consumed for planning elsewhere in SAP Analytics Cloud, including as a conversion step in Data Actions, in Story Calculations, Data Analyzer, Tables and Excel Add-In.

2. Allow Version Dimension Selection in Restricted Calculations

In the modeler, users can reference Version Dimension members within a calculated measure or calculated account that contains a restriction.

In the following example, a complex formula containing an IF statement, references a version dimension member.

The version will now be considered as part of the calculation, allowing results to be displayed.

Conclusion

In QRC3 2026 release, we provide the following enhancements:

  1. Introduction of Data Import API into Job Monitor.
  2. Navigation from a standard model to Job Monitor.
  3. Re-use of SAP Datasphere currency rate table in SAP Analytics Cloud seamless planning model.
  4. Permit the inclusion of a version dimension within a restricted calculation.
