ZTABLE transportation help req??

Hi

I am trying to transport a Fucn GRP to QAS frm DEV,but always its displying transportation error.

I had used this grp in the maintance gener. in a ztable.earlier in transportation,it was displying that ur ztzble is not active or not exists.In its inculde:lztablet00-*ztzble is not active or not exits.even my tabel is active in DEV,but its not there in QAS,it also need to be transported.but when i was trying to transport both,the same error occurs,so this time i just though to transport Func grp first,than i will move the ztable.but i am not able to understand,why its displying again that ur ztable is not active or not exits.

Erro msg:"The Dictionary structure or table "*Ztable_001" is either not active or"

" does not exist."

Plz help me to resolve thsi prob,what shd i do,as i need this ztable in QAS.

how to make it working,also if i delete the maitance gener,can anyone plz tell me,than what is the way so that i can make entries in ztable....in QAS,currently my ztable is client specific,i don't want even its matain generator,but i just want the my few entries shd be there always remain there,whenever ztable is transported to any other system?like DEV->QAS,QAS->PRD.

Lastly i am thinking to transport only ztzble without matain gener.,i hope this can solve my problem,but how to matainen entries,,,plz tell me the way,how shd i transport my ztable along with few records,if i made it non-clinet specific will it solve my prob??

Hi Vipin,

Include the ZTABLE in the transport which as Function Group & then release the TR to quality.

Else 1st create a transport of ZTABLE & move to quality.

Then create 2nd transport of Function Group & move to quality.

Hi,

Make sure tht when u save the table u save with particular tansport numer and see tht u while it asks for the request then u give the same request for all the savings u do .

I guess u konw th t where can u see the transport request in tcode Se09 or se10 there cheeck for the option for modifiable rather than the released items then it will display your transport number there there u release. it will release the table data.. hope this might work.

1. Delete Table maintenance of your ztable

2. Create a transporrt for z tabe'and transport

3. Create table maintenance for ztable in a different fun group and transport

and create entries in ztable and transport

Can you plz tell me,the difference b/w a cleint specific & non-specific,how it is going to effect the ztable,if i make my table a non-specific,than will the entries I made in DEV will be transported to QAS,PRD...or not?

Alos,once after the activation of table,if i crate the matain generator,& than reactviate the tabele,will it do some changes or not?or ...just after the actv. soon after generating the matainance gener...just transportation has to be done.

also currently,i had transpoted my table with its mataince generator,fucn group together,it had automateilcy added thet fucn grp,whcile creating the matain gener.

but it also contains a fucn grp whcih had been deleted,as earlier i deleted teh matian genertor,its grp & defiend the new grp for new matain gener.but in transportation i found thet...EXPORT---->Ended with warning.Will it create again the same error or not.

as this time,i had just activated my table & made a new generator & new grp & released it frm dev,but forget to delete the lock object of deleted fucn grp?

so i found one msg in transportatoon->EXPORT-->Ended with warning.

rest it was all successful.

plz tell me ,shd i make a new request or wait for the reply for this transportation.

Also if i define the new generator ,it auto maticly creates the fucn grp & inculde it in TR.do i hv to add it in TR seperately or not.?

1. If you are made ztable as client or non client specific you can tranport the entries., but you need a table maintenance to generate transport for table entries.

2. After creating the tablemaintenace if you are chaning the table by adding a field or deleting a field , then you need to regenerate the table mainteance or you are use EXPERT mode in table maintenance genrator in change and adjust the table maintenance genrator

3.don't worry about warning

4. Not mandatory to delete the lock entries, lock entries are client specific

5.You need to create the table maintance in separate transport

Hi

this i know that,after del or cret any fld,i need to regenerate the generator.

1.Plz tell me where is this Expert mode in table matain genertaor.

2.alos once the table is active ,than generator is made,than reactivating(with same flds) the table do some effect or not .

3.This time when i was regenerating the matain gener.,i just put a new fucn grp name there,& i seen that it had automat. had created that grp & included in the TR.is this a independent way,or i need to create a fucn grp first,than put in the place of fucn grp of generator,& adding it to TR?

4.Also if i transport the Table without any generator,than made a new generator,with new fucn grp,will it ask me for a new TR or not?alos...if i regenerate the matian gener,create the entries for table,willl it transpor the entries together or not?this time i have to add the table to this request or it will auto maticaly do?

Hi,

1. Step for expert mode

1) goto Se11 with your table name

2) Go to Utilities -> Table maintenece generator.

3) Click Change button (pencil)

4) Click on Expert mode

5) It have various check boxes acccording your need

6) Press Save

2. Due to fields not changed there is no need to regenerate table maintenace

3. Create new function group first and activate, while creating table maintance give func gruop[

4. It will ask for new transport, please keep the table entries in separate transport

1.plz tell me,once after making a new grp,& than it has to put in matain genertaor,this is a way,i know.

but when i just tried to put a new name in fucn grp in table matin gener. its automaticly created it & included in its TR.I havn;t done any thing for fGRP.is it a wrong way?

2.once after crateing a new genertor,transporting it,without any entries.

than when i will create the entires through sm30,save it,will it ask me for New TR,coz,when ever we make entries thr SM30,save it,no one ask for TR,than how do i transprot the table with entries..

will only table need to be transported again only...

plz alos clr my this doubt.?

1. If you are create functgion group and attach to table maintenace , then you check the transport it have only one entry with key R3Tr FUGR that means the whole new fun group get transporteed

2. I think in your case users will maintaned the table entries in server itself no need to transport. if you don't want then change table type as master/transaction table type in se11 -- delivery tab i think it is there in 2nd tab. If you choose customised type then it will ask for transport in sm30.

Can you ask the basis person to check the transport log and tell as to what error has occured. Most of the time transport fails if one of the dependent object fails to move.

In SE10 Transaction go to the Transport request of the function module. go to the object level where it will show the error . In your case it is activation of Ztable. now double click on the table and check if it is active. If it is active check the programs where you have accessed these Ztables and active all the programs, Include Programs and then try to transport the request.

Hi,

Check table maintance allowed in SE11->Attributes.Once you activated the table, generate table maintenance generator.In that select Standard Recording routine radio button.Then go to Sm30 and then enter the required values.Then select in the menu, Transport->Include in Request.

Then after transported the request to QAS, you can see the required table with entries.
