XD02 - Hide tabstrip

Is there a simple way to hide a tabstrip in transaction XD02? Some configuration I can simply tweak? Problem is that if I use ENHO to stop creating of the tabstrip, there are plenty of sub-element dependancies affected.

Just check in SPRO for changing the screen layout

I can imagine your answer could make sense, but please be more specific e.g. give me a path to follow in the IMG. Else its way to much of a generic pointer.

"Business Data Transactions" allow you to make these screen modifications. It gives you full control of hiding and displaying tabs based on your conditions.

Business Partners Maintenance is set up in AREA MENU BUPT - Business Partner: Task Menu

All fields, views, sections and screens for BUP1/2/3 are maintained in here. The Functional Team will maintain the master data, but usually request the Technical Team to apply conditional layout changes.

The following steps must be followed to set up a new screen/section in BUP1/2/3:

1. Create a new custom screen in relevant function group with relevant new fields required.

2. Under the same function group, create a function module to do the validations on the screen.

3. BUS23 - Data Sets. Create a new data set name for your custom screen/section.

4. BUS2 - Field groups. Add your screen fields that you want to group together by authorisations or by screen/section and mark whether they should be input fields and required or not.

5. BUS3 - Views. Add a view name for the fields you entered and double click on the entry. Enter your dataset name (created in 3.) and the new screen (created in 1.) name. If you click on "Further Checks" on the left hand side, you can enter your screen Validation module name.

6. BUS4 - Sections. Here you can link the section to the view (created in 5.)

7. BUS5 - Screens. Here you can link the section to a screen. You can either create a new screen if it is a new tab you added, or else you can link a section to an existing screen.

8. BUS6 - Screen Sequence. Once the screen is created, you can sequence the screens in the required order.

9. BUS7 - Business Data Toolset (EVENTS)

These events are used to control your new fields in BUP1/2/3

*- FCODE - Add any new Push Buttons for custom screens

*- ISDAT - Read your data from database into memory/screen fields. Set up a 'before picture' of all the fields so you can validate in XCHNG if fields were amended.

*- XCHNG - Set Change flag if fields changed.

*- DTAKE - Transfer screen fields back to memory in BUP1/2

*- DCHCK - Do final checks and store error messages in a custom table (for LSMW's)

*- DSAVE - Save data in database

*- DLVE1 - Clear memory

*- DLVE2 - Clear memory

*- CHGD1 - Store change pointers

*- CHGD2 - Store change pointers

*- CHGD4 - Store change pointers

*- DELE2 - Add custom table records to be deleted if Business partner is deleted with BUPA_DEL

Hello Adrian, thank you for the feedback but are you sure XD02 is related to BDT? I really doubt. That might mislead people who look for an answer.

CORE STEP TO FOLLOW: (100% relevant to XD02 layout changes)

/NSPRO

SAP Banking

->SAP Business Partner for Financial Services

-->General Settings

--->Business Partner

-

>Basic Settings

-

>Field Groupings

-

>Configure Field Attributes per BP Role

Double click on your BP Role and do your thing.

I reckon this is a very good SAP design for screen layout changes per BP

Okay, thx Adrian. I guess there must be a link from XD02 to reach business partners, within the sap banking solution, probably it's not related to the XD02 core transaction (which was developed far before BDT).
