Hi Jeya,

I am not sure on what you mean in your question. But ABAP is a programming language developed by SAP to create programs, reports, etc. for use of users of a company. Hope this helps...

P.S. Please award points if it helps...

ABAP was the only programming language used in SAP during its older version , but now a days to provide more flexibility it allows additional programming languages like Java e.t.c

Hi,

ABAP - Advanced Business Application Programming.

SAP is an ERP package.Think SAP as clay. For making earthern pots from this clay we need to mould them into various shapes according to our requirement.

SAP is raw.for a company's need we need to customize SAP according to its requirement.this customization is done by SAP's programming language ABAP.think of a user who needs some extra fields to be added to a particular form.this form is System defined ie its shipped with the software.this can be done only by ABAP.

All the customization can be done only by ABAP.

I think u got some idea about the need of abap.

Rgds,

ABAP is a programming language, which developers use to create custom reports and applications.

All Applications in R/3 are written using ABAP/4 only.

It is used to develop applications that can handle only the business data and bussiness logic in SAP.

In simple, it is the only tool for developing R/3 applications.

Note: Ps reward points if it is helpful

Thanks,

Kalai
