where we can modify the material save bapi( BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA ), for automated material extension like Unit of Issue, Volume, Volume Unit and classification?

Hi Guru's,

I have a requirement that need to modify the BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA automated material extension.

Like Unit of Issue, Volume, Volume Unit and classification. From an application when user enters

the data and click on save based on some validations data need to be save in DB.

please help me where can i exactly modify the bapi?

can you explain clearly. why r u going to bapi ,

suppose u want change bapi u need acces key ,it is stadard bapi ryt.

the requirement is for automated the material extension. In the output of NWBC application user what to change some values for unit of issue,volume,volume unit and classification and clicks the save. then bapi need to be called based on some predefined conditions. then modified values need to be updated in the DB.

Hi Balaji,

It is not something to do with extention of BAPI, because all the field like unit of issue,volume,volume unit were there in BAPI predefined structures. It is something that we need to enhace the BAPI based on some conditions.
