what is an XSLT program?

there is a program type 'XSLT program' listed down in drop down menu of ABAP program type. But when I try to create one, there is an error.

So if you have XML data in one format and need to transform it to another XML format, you use XSLT. It is a standard tool, not developed by SAP. There's loads of information and tutorials through google.</a>

Unable to change program from or to type X is the error I get...

Click on the question mark next to the error message. This is extremely useful as it often gives you more information about the error!

If you still can't figure out the issue after reading that, then let me know.

Thanks..I am a fresher working in SAP .... Please suggest me websites and tutorials to work and get a firm hold on ABAP programming techniques. Thanks in advance.
