HI all,
I am trying to find how the program flow is, when the value of a matnr is a particular value. I do not want to use F5 and wait untill the vakue is reached because the itab contains 121,000 records. I want to use watch point.
Can any one explain me hoe to set watch point for matnt and how need to start debugging for this program.

Varun.

Hi varun,
1. simple
2. go in debugging mode, (/h)
3. BREAKPOINTS -
> CREATRE WATCHPOINT
4. a new window will come
5. in field name , enter your field (eg. matnr)
6. in relation operator, enter =
7. in comparison value , enter 00010 (your field value u want to check)
8. thats all !

Hi again,
1. just press f8
2. the system will AUTOMATICALLY STOP
(when the value of matnr reaches the specified value)
3. That is the purpose of WATCHPOINT
(the system will WATCH it, like a dog)

amit .

Yes.. Just press F8 to continue till the watchpoint is reached. See to it that all the other breakpoints before the watchpoint are deactivated. Else it will stop at every breakpoint.

Hi Varun,
IF you know the value where exactly you want to go into debug mode.
then you can put a condition something like.
if matnr = a04.
break-point.
endif.
follows the code where you want to debug for the particular value.
hope you find this helpful.
