I'm trying to install virus scanner for KM within our portal.
In Note 964305 I found the instructions and executable to install Virus Scan Server.
At https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/downloads I found a prototypes package with dll's for several vendors of Virus Scansoftware and for various OS'.
For Sophos and McAfee I got the virus scan server working. However for Symantec I get following startup error for vscan_rfc:

I tried with VSA_LIB as environment variable and in vscan_rfc.xml. Same result in both cases.
I added environment variable INITSERVERS (as described in the README that accompanies the prototypes) that points to the Symantec scan engine (servername:1344) and I added the path to vssym.dll to PATH variable.
We use the same Symantec scan engine to scan Portal Forums. The scan engine is installed for use with ICAP (port 1344).
