Hi,

I created a view variant for a maintenance view, when I used it in the sm30 it gives a error like no variant objects assigned for this view object. But I tested the variant in se54 it works fine.

Can any one help me out in this?

Suresh,

Could you see the F1 help in SM30 for variant field.

extended table maintenance: Name of a selection variant

Obsolete since R/3 Release 3.1I: Selection variant for a table or

maintenance view.

Since R/3 Release 4.0, there are view variants instead of selection

variants.

Use

The field only exists for reasons of backwards compatibility.

This is checking with table TVIMV with variant. If we create an entry in this table then you can able to maintain...but it seems its obsolute...

If you have created view variant, then create a tcode (transaction with parameters) with transaction SM30 (skip initial screen) with view name and view variant.

Cheers
