Variant Configuration code parsing

Hello,

Does anybody know of a function module that parses the dependency code (trxn CU03). I found some function modules like CUKD_GET_CODE that parses the code and returns the terms. Is there a function module or a module in SAP that uses reads these terms and perform actions based on it.
