UTF-8 Vs UTF-16

Dear All,

for a Global Rollout project we need to evaluate the advantages/disadvantages of the two unicode encodings UTF-8 and UTF-16. The comparison must be done evaluating the following issues:

1)Compatibility

2)size

3)Processing

4)Communication and storage
