Using SFTP with SAP

Hi all,

Recently I got the requirement to pass a file from SAP to an FTP Server, but now the requirement has changed and the client wants to use SFTP instead, I did a research in the internet and it seems that SAP doesn't support SFTP. I found that one solution is to use The AEDAPTIVe SFTP Adapter client for SAP NetWeaver© . Well, that's the issue, what can I do to accomplish this, is that possible without a 3rd party?

Good news.  Actually, with the right updates to PI, SFTP is built-in finally.

Thanks for replying Case, is through PI the only way to accomplish this

The only "native" way, yes.  You'd have to go with an add-on if you want to do it within a non-PI program.
