Using CodeTogether with ABAP on Eclipse

Hi team

I have updated my Eclipse installation, now I have a new option in the menu before the Activate: StartSharing.

So I started to try, Share Code, follow the explanation, but noting appears in the Web Browser. I try with Opera, Edge (not working), Safari.

I have always the same result, in the browser, I have a message "Choose file to CodeTogether".

Did someone already have this issue ? Do you have an idea of my error?

It's been almost a year since the question but I've got definitive answers for you now.

In the 4.1 release of CodeTogether, Genuitec added the ability to collaboratively live edit SAP ABAP files using Eclipse or VS Code (or a combination) as well as activate the file(s) on the server.

These features are available as SaaS or On-Premises, for the ultimate in security for multiple price points including a couple of free options.

In closing, the issue reported here was due to the lack of support for server-based file editing in earlier releases of CodeTogether. This is no longer the case.

FULL DISCLOSURE: I work for Genuitec and CodeTogether is our cross-IDE live sharing product that works between Eclipse, VS Code, IntelliJ and IDEs based on those (and which now supports ABAP too).

Hello Frederic, CodeTogether option came on my Eclipse right after installing a dark theme from market place (some months ago), and also had this same problem : unable to share things from ABAP project.

It works for other languages (have both Java and ABAP on same Share Session, actions on Java projects reflects on browser while on ABAP one doesn't), so it is should be an issue on ADT plugin itself.

Following your question to see how this will end.
