User exit triggering issue

Hi All,

I created a project and assigned an enhancement to it. I implemented this enhancement and activated the project. When I executed the standard transaction VA21 to create quotation and saved it, ideally this enhancement should have triggered. But it did not. When i went to SMOD and got inside this enhancement, I saw it was green denoting that the implementation is active. But still I explicitly pressed the activate button here in SMOD. Now when I executed VA21, the code I wrote in this exit, triggered. I do not understand why it did not trigger even after activating the project but triggered only after activating it in SMOD? Can someone tell me if i'm wrong anywhere?

Try using CMOD for the same

That would be very surprising that an activation in SMOD does anything. As Pras Venkat said, you should only activate your project in CMOD.
