here they r 4 fields TSL, MSL, KSL, MSL. I am getting the values of these fields by summation of tsl01,tsl02........tsl09 as defined in the table zupi5t) and respectively for other fields also.
Now the requirement is i should add the fields depending upon the range given for the select-option period s_rpmax. suppose if i give the range as 3 to 5 in the selection screen then tsl03, tsl04,tsl05 should get added and should be stored in tsl and this applies for the other fields also ( hsl,ksl,msl).
please help me in resolving this issue. plz.

if u concatenate the prefix of your field (e.g. "TLS") and the period nn (e.g. '01' ' 02' ...) into <id> the field symbold have the value of the field TLSnn.

in the above do loop the value of the sy-index will always start from 1 and the same think is concatenated along with TSL and id.
but my requirement is if the period range is given as 4 to 9 then the corresponding values of TSL i.e TSL04 to TSL09 should get added up.with the above code this is not achieved.

Hi ramya,
I understood your problem. Let me take clarification from you.
Here your select options RPMAX is with out extension. so suppose user will enter values like 3,5,8. Then what is the requirement. will it sum values from 3 to 8 or will it take sum only 3,5,8. First take clarity in this. then we will try the solution for this

hi lakshman,
Here period( s_rpmax) is with no-extension means the user can only make an entry on one line. Calling the additional "Multiple Selection" screen is not supported and no pushbutton for this appears on the selection screen.
so when i enter range as 3 to 8 in the selection screen for period then corresponding values of TSL, KSL, HSL and MSL sholud get added. i.e tsl03,tsl04,tsl05.....tsl08. and respectively for ksl, msl , hsl.
