Upload EXCEL Directly As Workitem

Hi Experts,

I am new to Workflows..

REQUIREMENT: User will upload the excel file from his local drive (path to be provided in selection screen). I have to send the same file as attachment to MANAGER for approval/ rejection.

How to send the uploaded excel directly as workkitem?

Please help

Hi Ajoy ,

In your case is it necessary to use Workflow ?

when you say file path to be provided in selection screen , then are you talking about report selection screen here ?

If this has nothing to do with workflow then I can guide you about sending an mail along with attachment (using a function module to be used in report).

Hi Uma,

1) Yes! we need to upload the excel through report selection screen

2) It is necessary to send the xls as attachment in workitem for approval or rejection. (I have only entered a small part of the whole requirement. Sending xls as mail attachment only will not suffice. We have to do it as workitem)
