How to identify the standard object of SAP modified in the current version and what care should be taken during the upgradation.

hi,

<b>Upgrdation project</b> - when the business is changed or modified,

client would come up with new requirements or added functionality and will move towards <b>higer versions of SAP</b>.

various company uses different tools for the production support, like Lotus Notes.

1-Is a kind of procedure which is send from the onsite team,the ticket can be related to technical prob, functional prob or basis prob.

2-after getting a ticket the respective people has to solve it as per its importance level .

Hi,

U required to copy the program from old version into the new version and have to make Extended syntax Check , so that the obsolete FM's or Keyword etc will be displayed as errors and u required to replace it with the latest versions . Here u will get a problem of unicode and nonunicode when u r working with forms or texts.

The SAP Upgrade Road Map has five phases

1. Project Preparation

2. Upgrade Blueprint

3. Upgrade Realization

4. Final Cutover Preparation

5. Production Cutover

There are release notes from SAP that helps you understand the delta changes in the new version.

For ABAP developers, the discrpencies in the Programs are identified thru transaction SPAU. Find these issues fix them and Verify them in SPAU. There are many changes in the screens so the affected BDC programs need to be updated. If there are changes in the DDIC, respective programs need to be updated. Obsolete ABAP statements and FM need to be corrected. And finally unicode related changes need to be done(If system is enabled for Unicode checks).
