Updating CATSDB Fields

Hi All,

I need to update the Zfields in catsdb.

I tried obtaining this by using the fololowing FM

BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_CHANGE

BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_INSERT

But in both cases a new record is getting created.

My requirememnt is to only update the existing record with few fields.

How can i obtain.

Hi,

what was the status of your records which you modified? This BAPI creates new records if the original records have been already approved. It's written in BAPI documentation. The records stored in table CATSDB are transferred to other modules such as CO. Hence if time sheet record is already approved then SAP cancels the previous one and it creates new one.

Hi,

I think BAPI_CATIMESHEETMGR_CHANGE is the right BAPI for updating CATSDB Fields, but the problem I suppose is that if you change records that have already been approved, the system cancels the original record and creates a new record. If the records to be changed have not yet been approved, they are simply overwritten.
