can we update the the table TVARVC directly or there is any FM for the same...

because according to whatever i have heard, we cannot update an SAP standard table, so is it allowed..?

yes your right.we should not directly update the standard table rather we use BDC or BAPi for that, otherwise it may cause the data inconsistency.but i think for this table u may do it.

Hi, look at the Function Group SVAR, there are some FM to create a variant

RS_CHANGE_CREATED_VARIANT

RS_RWSET_CREATE_VARIANT
