Update SO document Status Using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE

Hi,

Does using this BAPI, BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE updates the document status of the sales order? What happens is when I create new order and I change it in the program using this BAPI. The expected should be the SO document status should be set to completed. What happened is it does not update the document status to completed and the document status is blank.

Please help.
