UNICODE ERROR with SEARCH statement

Hi,

I am getting a Unicode error, working in ECC6.0 from a SEARCH statement.

SEARCH ITAB1 FOR ITAB2-FIELDNAME.

Kindly suggest on how to remove the error.

You could try the addition IN BYTE MODE.

SEARCH ITAB1 FOR ITAB2-FIELDNAME <b>IN BYTE MODE</b>.

Without this addition, the search is done in the character mode, which might not be successful if the line has non-character fields.

Use the syntax given below:

SEARCH dobj FOR pattern [IN { BYTE | CHARACTER } MODE]

[STARTING AT p1] [ENDING AT p2]

[ABBREVIATED]

[AND MARK].

You can go to your reports attributes and uncheck the option for Unicode checks active.
