Hello,
I've recently completed an upgrade from R/3 4.6C to ECC6 EHP4 based on NW7.0EHP1. I am now in the processing going through the Additional Preparation Steps in NW 7.01 (4.1 in the CUUC Guide) when I experience a problem with the UM4_FINISH_PREPARATION report. The first part of the report (Update Worklist) fails with a dump with the message
<<"READ_REPORT_LINE_TOO_LONG"
Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_READ_SRC_LINE_TOO_LONG', was
not caught and
therefore caused a runtime error.
The reason for the exception is:
There was an attempt to read program "LDG60T99" from the database.
The READ REPORT statement allows you to copy a program text into an
internal table. The occupied line length in the program text must not
exceed the width of the internal table.
The internal table "\PROGRAM=RS_TESTREPORT_DELETE_ONLINE\DATA=SOURCE[]" is 72
characters wide. The program line is
76 characters wide.
There is a line of code in this report that seems to exceed the default value. Since these are standard SAP programs, I'm wondering if anyone has come across this before? The update worklist phase completes with status green as well as the consistency check and the merge of SPUMG control tables.
The unicode nametab tables though seems to have been deleted (DDNTF_CONV_UC & DDNTT_CONV_UC). This definitely had entries two days ago!
I've since reset SPUMG and am manually going through the steps again. The above Additional Preparation Steps have failed again as expected.
Has anyone experienced this problem before and is it save for me to proceed with the conversion after creating the unicode nametabs?
Cheng
