Perform a where used on FM, you will find one program whose name contains 'BUS' : RBUS1001006, double-click will send you to business object "StandardMaterial" that you will find on "Alphabetical" tab of BAPI transaction.

What is the reason ???

You could also buy some glasses and look in "Hierarchical" tab at node Logistics - General, Logistics Basic Data, StandardMaterial ::-)

Raymond

Hello ,

in transaction BAPI you'll find only those bapi's that are coupled to a method of a business object.

But if the guys from SAP didn't do so, you'll never find the bapi this way.

Thanks a lot Raymond Giuseppi.

It works very well now. Here I have another question based on your answer. If a function module which is RFC enabled, which has the name starts with "BAPI_xxxxxx", and which is not assigned to a business object in the BOR, can we call it as a BAPI. In short, what is the criteria for a FM to call as a BAPI???

Thnaks in advance.

I keep on the definition

BAPIs are defined as API methods of SAP business object types. These business object types and their BAPIs are described and stored in the Business Object Repository (BOR). A BAPI is implemented as a function module, that is stored and described in the Function Builder.

So if a RFC function module is not assigned to a business object in the BOR, even if it respect BAPI development and naming rules, it is not a BAPI.

Also a RFC named /domain name/BAPI_XXX or Z_BAPI_XXX or Z_BAPI_xxxx is a BAPIs if it is assigned to BOR.

Raymond
