Hi,
you can simply create events either using SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT or
SWE_EVENT_CREATE
These both are online documented And I believe that the first one is now preferred.

I want the event to be trigger when Purchasing requisiiton is created/released from the application, so I need to put the code in a user exit for the application. I am looking for the user exit where I can add code to trigger the event.

Hi
If you are looking into whcih exit would work,
I mean when the PR is created you need to add your code into the "EXIT_SAPLMEREQ_008" for the workflow to be triggered
Using the any of the following FM
'SWE_EVENT_CREATE' or "SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT"

Hi ,
I think coresponding events are triggered by SAP automatically when you release/create a PR. What you need to do is just do Event Type Linkage of those events with your Workflow .
For this you can use transaction SWETYPV .
Please let me know if it works .

I am not sure the application triggers the event when PR is created/released. I tried it in one of the sandbox system and it did not trigger the event. When I tried it in diagnostin mode ( Manual triggering ) it worked.
Thanks for all your answers, they were great.
