Hi

write a Program for sending mails using the fun module

SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1

in the program to check the status of the Job write a select statment to the table

TBTCP

pass the Program name of the scheduled and take the STATUS field from this table

Put a condition for the fun module code to sent mail

if the STATUS = F (job is finished)

.....code...for sending mail..

endif.

I have never used it, but the Schedule Manager (Transaction SCMA) gives functionality to schedule tasks to run in background and includes emails once finished.

From the SAP documentation in the transaction:

Process Flow

1. The system executes the processing steps.

2. Once the system has executed all processing steps, the user receives a mail stating that the scheduled sequence of processing steps was executed. This mail is generated through the workflow linkage.

3. You can repeat the processing of faulty objects directly from the mail.

4. The user can view the processed objects with their processing status in the monitor of the worklist.

5. The user corrects the errors in the objects.

6. The user retriggers the processing step sequence from the mail in his office inbox.

7. The system now processes the objects of the scope of selection that were processed with errors in the first run of the processing sequence or for which processing was forced manually.

In SM36 there is the spool receipt OF RECEIPENT ... CLICK on it .

in the Receipent ..... there is 2 parameter palce ... in the second one if you do F4 ...there is Internet Address ... select it and then give the Email id in the first parameter ...select Express Checkbox ...

Copy as save button .

and give you job name , job class, start condition, ...

in steps tab give the program with varient ...press the ok buttons so that it will be scheduled and once the schduled job is completed ...

goto SCOT trascation Run the timer icon so that your Email will be despatched to mentioned addresse .

Hi saurabh ,

if you want to have a customized mails to the customer

you can use below function modules if you want detailed code leet me kowe SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 with attchment

SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1 with out attchment

if you want to configure the sap mail after back ground job do as below

goto SM36 mention the spool list receipt

and save with your job name

you can also select here mail through distribution list or to the external mails .
