transporting variants

hi

we are doing upgrade from 4.7 to 5.0

is there a program thru which we can download from 4.7 and upload the variants to new version?

Hi Harkamal

Associate the variant with a Workbench CTS and have basis enable the migration path between 4.7 and 5.0

Then using the CTS migrate the variant to 5.0

To create transport:

1) Go to transaction SE38 and enter the program name.

2) Click the radio button next to the "Variants" subobject and click the "Change" button

3) On "ABAP: Variants" screen, select menu path "Utilities -> Transport request"

4) Enter the variant(s) you want to copy into the "Variant name" box.

5) Click the execute button and save the data to a new change request.

it takes u to the program rstransp.

ask your Basis people to configure, for that transportation of the requests
