Transporting table content as customizing, not workbench

Hello everybody,

I have a self-built coustomizing table whose content was not transported up to now. Now the customer wants the table content to be transported via customizing transport. The table has a maintenance view with a generated maintenance dialog. The table is client specific.

I changed the maintenance class of the table form "application" to "Customizing", the recording routine in the maintenance view generator to "standard recording routine", and I deleted the maintenance dialog an generated it anew.

When I now change the table content I do get a question for a transport order, but it's a workbench transport.

Any idea what I have to change in order to get a customizing transport order?

Hi Uta,

The changes you have done seem to be correct and I feel there are no other steps need to be taken for it. Please delete the existing maintenance dialog, including the INCLUDEs for it and re-genrate it with the settings you have mentioned.

Does the table has MANDT field ?

Check also with transaction SOBJ for current settings of the dialog maintenance (Client dependant checkbox, Transport and Adjustment dropdown listbox)

Hi Uta,

Your changes seem to be correct. But first delete the workbench request and regenerate the view by following the below procedure.

SE11 -> Utilities -> Table Maintenance Generator -> F7 -> Check all the check boxes -> Click Expert Mode -> Check all the check boxes.

Hello everybody,

thank you all so much for your help.

It seems that the problem has solved itself - after starting my SAP GUI this morning everything works as expected, the system generates a customizing transport.

Maybe the system only needed a restart.
