Was the transport successful? if so, you can transport the other TR also. shouldn't make any problem

Hi Salini,

Can you please say how you are able to create a new transpport request for your program which is already having a transport request?Have you deleted the old one or have you released it?Please be clear.

Regards,

Lakshman.

Hello Shalini,

If you have released the TR and the transport was not successful.

Now your object is locked under the new TR only right? then there is no dependency.

you can release and transport

Hi Sathya,

I have released both the requests but not transported the new one.

My old TR includes data dictionary changes and new TR includes Program changes.

Shalini,

Your old transport contains data dictionary changes...but that was not successful right? without that we won't be able to move the program changes ( new TR i mean).

First rectify the errors of the old TR (that would create another TR ...eg TR3) and tranport that successfully then transport the program changes.

Hi Salini,

You have transported the TR with the program changes.. right...?

Make another TR, comment your program code - whatever you have done in the program comment those, save in this new transport and release..

This needs to be done so that the quality system which is now in errors.. will get consistent.

Then release the TR having the data dictionary changes...

On successful release of this TR... uncomment your code in your program... save in a new TR and release..

This will surely solve your problem...

In that case you don't have to worry about it much, because all your changes in program

will be transported to other system with your new transport request.

Note:Make sure that you dont transport the old request again.

Hi,

Then you should check your program whether it contains any errors or not.

Check for the logfile once.

Hi Salini,

If the new transport request has been released successfully and no error occurred in the quality systems then you can release the old transport request.

But if any errors occurs then

1. revert the changes done in the released transport request and save in a 3rd transport request.

2. Release this 3rd transport so that the quality systems get consistent.

3. release the 1st transport - old transport

4. Do the changes again (which were reverted during 1st step) and save them in a new transport.

5. Release this last transport request created in step 4.

Please award points if this reply is helpful.
