I have diificulty on transporting user request in development client 100. I have released the request earlier in development client 201 but wen i wan to copy transport request to development client 100 it says the status was "completed with Dictionary errors". and when i double click the error message, the table is not client-specific. Is anyone willing to help me to solve this problem? plz advise me. Thanx in advance

Hi

The error means that the table is client independent. It does not need to be transported. Only, when a table is client dependant(which means it is available only in this client) you need to transport it to the other client.

Client Independant tables need not be transported to another client in the same server.

this is not 100% correct... Any table in the data dictionary exist in each single client on the same server. It is irrelevant if the table is client dependent or not. The data in the table is, which exists only in a specific client, if the table is client dependent (that means, the very first field of the table is MANDT. From the original post it is not really clear (at least for me), if the table or the data in the table was transported.

Yes. I agree only the data does not exist in the other clients, not the table when the table is said to be client dependant. But, seeing the error message I felt, there was an attempt made by the user to transport the table.

you don't have to transport the table to the other client (if it is the same server). It is already there! Thanks for reading and understanding my previous post!

Start everything from the beginning and if my understanding is right, we talk about the same server, but two clients. If yes, than only customizing requests have to be transported, workbench requests not (because they contain repository objects, they are client undependent, it means they are already there).

Hi,

There is no need to transport client independent data within the same server.

If you want to copy any client dependent use scc1 tcode.

May I know what are you trying to transport?

Rhea.
