and also look into

TEXT_TRANSLATE

TRANSLATE_TEXT_TEXTLOG and SKTZ_TRANSLATE_TEXT_TEXTLOG.you can go to transaction SE63 for language translation.

Hi,

I want to be able to translate any text i want. For example, if i have a material description, i want to translate it from one language to another. It should be a FM that will enable me to translate any text.

you go to transaction SO10.you can maintain standard text in all the languages which u want.subsequentely you can change the language of that text element and the program by selecting translate from goto tab.

To prevent misunderstanding, these functions do not actually translate texts between languages as in "babelfish", the just help creating entries for additional language keys, and the translation has to be done manually.

I don't think there is a function inside SAP to do actual automatic translation of texts, or I would like to learn about it as well.

you can translate text in SE63 Tcode.
