Too many failed attempts

Hi Guru's

I am accessing a server for which we don't have any Basis expert available.. in that when I log in it says too many failed attempts so how can I get to change my password.. or how can I get in now.. without basis support.

Hi,

You don't necessarily need basis support, just someone who can log on to the system with access to SU01. They can then unlock your user and (presumably) reset your password to a known value.

You need a user who has access to that server and authorization to use transaction SU01. He can then unlock your user as well as resetting the password to whatever you want.

You know anyone that has access to this system? If they do, see if they have access to SU01, maybe they could try unlocking your user id.

but there is anybody (except yourself) who maintains that system, isn't there? all the answers to your questions here were the legal ones. there are a few others but i would not give them in a public forum. find someone maintaing that system ... this someone will know other ways too.
