To find the authorization object for MI01 tcode

Dear Experts,

My MM consultant wants to restrict the authorization in MI01 tcode. After putting the

tcode there is one field called "STOCK TYPE", which is having the value 01,02,03,04.

My MM consultant wants only user has to use 01 not other values while doing in the MI01

I used SU24 for finding the relevant authorization objects, but it will not show the proper object.

So Kindly help me to find the right object for restrict the stock type in MI01 tcode.

Hi Sundar,

I think you are looking for Material Type . The Object is M_MATE_MAR .

Please check and verify .

M_ISEG_WIB

In this Object , please specify 01 value in ACTVT filed.

You can let your security team run a trace while the tcode is run.

This will help them get the corresponding authorization object easily.

Following object is capable of providing authorization check for Stock Type (QINSMK).. but not proposed for MI01. First check for ST01 trace for this Tcode and if you don;t get help from that try adding this object as C/M to MI01 in SU24...

For getting the proper authorization object through which the input values will be restricted, ST01 trace is required.

Dear All,

Thanks for your all replies, I want to control the authorization for "Stock Type" not "Material type".

Kindly do the below steps and give the feedback...

tcode ->MI01>Document date,plant,Storage Loc--->Enter

Then enter the following the details

Material->Batch-->Sty

In this stype having 4 values, that is

1.Warehouse

2.Quality inspection

3.Wrhse/QuInsp.(InvSa)

4.Blocked

here i would like to give a authorization to users for accessing the value 1 (warehouse) not others.

I tried ST01 also but it will give the object name for the Ist screen only not "Stype".

Hi,

Using the transaction MI01 a trace is not giving the result related to Storage type. The authorization object M_ISEG_WIB related to this txn wont help in restricting the same also. Even I tried with MIGO transaction and related auth objects but they were unable to restrict. Try with authorization object M_MSEG_LGO related to storage.
