The form does not exist

hello.

I am trying to create a perform in a program I am writing.

I wrote PERFORM this400.

double clicking on this400 brings up the contents for FORM this400. I saved and activated this.

However when I try activating where I called the PERFORM statement but it is telling me that the form this400 does not exist.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

As suggested by rajesh, try to activate the whole function group even if it throws error. Then check it must work.

Is the include where you built the FORM referenced in the main program, if no, add an [INCLUDE|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu/en/ABAPINCLUDE_PROG.htm] statement or [explicitly identify the form|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu/en/ABAPPERFORM_FORM.htm] in the [PERFORM |http://help.sap.com/abapdocu/en/ABAPPERFORM_GENERAL.htm] statement.

do both of them ( perform and form) reside in same include. make sure of this.

yes they reside in the same function group.

Try to activate the main program of the function group, there may be some inactivated include(s)

Hi ,

Go to , SE80 , give your Function group name and try activating the complete function group.

Might, be some of the include in the function group is not active.

If that don't work, there is a tool to regenerate the whole function group, via SE37 : in the menu "Utilities", "Repair func. group"

Please check if you have activated the include where your FORM...ENDFORM is written.

yes it is activated...however the error is popping up where the PERFORM is being called.

Please click on the 'Display Object List' button in the application toolbar and check if your FORM...ENDFORM exists in the Subroutines. Please activate the program as a whole and try to execute it.

Assure that both the names are same and activate first Form wherever it is and activate the calling the PERFORM area.

Hi,

Your program seems to be of TYPE 'I' i.e. Include Program, so perform will work only if used in same program and not like a separate include program.

You will able to activate it but could not main program.

So I suggest you to develop a Function Module with same code and define Import/Export Parameters.

I've faced same issue in an user exit include, so what i did, i'have explained.

So better to replace perform with FM.
