Text symbols in workflow task description

Hi all,

I'm very new to workflow, and I can't find a place dedicated to it on the forum, so I ask my question here.

I have to modify a description text for a workflow task and some parts are dynamic :

Please review the documentation and planning of the Proposal:

&PROJECT_DESCRIPTION& with Proposal-ID: &PROJECTID&

Review Deadline : <b>&REVIEW_DEADLINE&.</b>

As you can see, the Project Description and Project Id are written from the corresponding text-symbol. Moreover the text symbols correspond to fields of the task container.

Now, I added the field REVIEW_DEADLINE in the container, and I want to put it at the end of the description. But when I go to the menu Insert -> Symbols -> Text symbols, I see only the old ones. I can't add REVIEW_DEADLINE.

Can someone tell me where I can create my new text symbol, in order to put it at the end of the description and it reflects the value of the corresponding container field ?

Hi,

You have to add element "REVIEW_DEADLINE" in workflow container. Then can you that in your Task.

For workflow postings use the "Business Process Management (BPM)" under the SAP Netweaver General.

Hi Allan,

what u have to do is that, Click on the task,

Then go to change mode and in container tab create

new text element. And then bind that elelemnt with

with correpsonding field.

Newly create text element will appear on the screen.

I think, this will sort out ur problem.
