Hi Namrata,

You must have knowledge and experience (if any) with APO CIF (Core Interface) in addition to your ABAP skills. In addition, it will be an asset to have APO modules (DP, SNP, etc) background as well.

APO Core Interface (APO-CIF) is an interface between the SAP Advanced Planner & Optimizer (APO) and a standard R/3 System. APO Core Interface supplies SAP APO with master and transaction data in real time. Only the object data that is relevant for the individual planning and optimization processes of SAP APO is transferred from the complex data records of the R/3 System.

Please check this link for further information on SAP APO.

Hope this will help.

Hi,

Refer this thread:

SAP's APO consists of eight application levels: Network Design, Demand Planning, Supply Network Planning, Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling, Global ATP, Transportation Planning and Vehicle Scheduling, and Supply Chain Collaboration. APO is designed to help improve your strategic plans, forecasts, production plans, quotations, schedules and product shipping by real-time integration.

Hi Namrata,

In oredr to work as ABAPer the following things u must know;

1. How the data (either LiveCache TS object or LiveCache Order object) is arranged in LiveCache?

2. BAPI's related to PPM.

3. BADI's available for enhancement.

4. User Exits available for CIF.

Transactions r not common in APO as u see in R/3..and u should not try to remember those.

Hi Namrata,

my points are as same as Vinod , as technical Consultant we have to Focus on CIF only , and Integrations of Diff.Server , gettting the his.data from BIW ( If u have ) and R/3 data.

2.Info Cubes , InFo objects,,,, Key and Chanr Figures .
