Hi,

Use trans. BD54 to define the logical system.

Use trans SCC4 to define the new client and assign this logical system.

For a local copy:

use trans SCCL to define the copy parameters; there you can choose among

other things the source client and also the profile to be used.

In order to get an idea of the amount of data involved you can specify a

test run.

You should the adapt your tablespaces to receive the data

Be sure to be logged in the target client to do the copy.

You can the logon the source client to monitor the copy process using

trans SCC3.

For a remote copy:

Setup the RFC connection in the source client (SM59)

Logon to the target client (SAP*, pw pass)

Use trans SCC9 to start the copy (define parameters)

In order to get an idea of the amount of data involved you can specify a

test run.

Monitor copy with SCC3 in the source client

Thanks,

Sandeep.

Hi Suresh,

Using the Tcode SALE is for configuring the ALE. Here u have to define the logical system and then u have to assign it to the client.
