First select the task which will get created while creating the Transport request and click on transport button and then release the request.

if there is 1 transport request attached to another, we should release the one attached first, right? then the other?

Hi,

Yes...When a transport request is created a task will come automatically under ur request which contains ur modified objects. You need to release that task first, then ur request.

to release the rquest u have tcode SE01 SE09 se10

after releasing the request you can transport from one server to another using STMS transaction.

Hi,

You can use SE09 or SE10 or SE01.

Another way.

Once you save your object, it will ask for package. Assign a package to it and press enter a pop up window will be displayed under taht you can find another button for create. Click on that button. A transport request will be generated for you.

For importing the transport request you have to use STMS.
