Tcode MM60 download from spool to notepad error

We have material like XYZ--001  When we run in foreground and in background the display is fine.

When we execute in background the o/p material is shown as XYZ--001 but when we download

it to either excel or notepad it is showing material as XYZ001. i Tried to debug but i think in buffer

itself some Issue.Please help me resolve this.

In foreground the download to excel or notepad is fine.

How you are downloading .

In output of MM60 -->  Local file ICON ( Ctlr + Shift  + f9 )?

I executed in my system and is workgin fine.

Hi,

The Issue is with All transaction wherever  '--' is coming in any field it is replace with '  '.

happening only in spool jobs. It is some issue with spool generation I think. Planning to

raise OSS to SAP.

Try changing material description by adding ' -- ' in between description and run tcode mm60 for that

material in background.Try to download in excel or notepad u will observe '--' replaced by '  '.

Hi Sai,

As you can see above, the material i used already has a '-' in it and when i download it does not get replaced by anything and stays as it.

Just try giving 2 dashes instead of one '--'.It is happening when we give 2 dashes.

Even u can try changing material description u will face this issue.

It is not explicitly spoken about --  but it is explained in general that spool lists are different

I tried and no conversion happened, material reference and description with "-" were not changed. Could be printer driver or Excel version related ?
