I do not think anyone in this community can tell you wether the use of a specific transaction poses a risk to your, or your customers' company's business processes. I cannot find this specific transaction code in any of the systems avaliable to me and if I search SAP support for it I only get a reference to your question here.

You'll have to go back to the person(s) who gave you this problem/task and ask them for more information.
