TCODE FV60 with ECATT

Has anyone created a ECATT script using FV60? We are getting an runtime error CREATE_DATA_ILLEGAL_LENGTH

when we simulate the script. The field that is causing the issue is AZSAL (Balance). The field is CURR 17. When we simulate the screen from ECATT the program is tying to create a data object with type P for this field and the limit length for type P is 16. Has anyone else ran into this problem?
