Hi All,
I am working on MIGO_GR tcode in ECC 6.0. I have a requirement where i need to change the column sequence in the table control. I am able to achieve this using the 'CONFIGURATION' button on the top and right most corner of the table control. But I want to make these settings default for the whole system.
I did check the check box that says 'Available sys.variant' found on the screen when you click on the 'Administrator' button. But still only the user that did the change is able to see the change and all the other users are seeing the regular SAP sequence.
Not sure if i am missing anything. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Karuna.

Karuna,
We experienced this same result (when the user made a change to the layout through configuration, as you've described, only they could see the changes).
We solved this issue by:
We went into the Administrator button and documented every "Invisible" checkbox setting (very important) and then clicked on the "Delete" button to remove the system variant. We then backed out to the main table control and ensured that all the displayed columns in the table control were visually in the places we were expecting (just double-checked to ensure they were still there)
2.) We then clicked on the little table control button again in the upper right-hand corner of the table control (like you described).
We created a new variant in the "Maintain variants" portion of the table settings window by entering a new name into the "Variant" field (i.e., mynew_variant) and ensured that the "Use as standard setting" checkbox was UNCHECKED. We then clicked on the "Create" button
We then clicked on the "Save" button.
We then chose our new variant from the drop-down for both "Current settings" and "Standard settings" and, once again, ensured that the "Use as standard setting" checkbox was still UNCHECKED
We clicked on the "Save" button again
We then clicked on the "Administrator" button and checked (updated) all the appropriate "Invisible" checkboxes (using the documentation we made in step 1 of this tutorial)
We then clicked on the "Activate" button (this set the new system variant to our variant)
We then clicked on the "Include in Transport Request button" (the button with the truck on it). This prompted us for a transport and we responded accordingly
We then tested the transport on our development system and it appeared to be the same for several users
We then moved this transport to our test system and on to our production system.
These are the steps that seemed to work for us. If these particular steps don't work, perhaps they will give you some more ideas that will eventually work for the system you're on.
Good luck.
