Table Matainance Generator Urgent Help Req??

Hi

I had made ztzbke,with its matain gener. & had released it for QAs,but now in QAS ztable is there but its matainance generator is not there.What shd i do,shd i create a matain gener in QAS,if i do,under whcih TR will it save,as to transport to PRD.

Is there any way to make it working,as i need to do entries in table,shd i retransport it?As in QAS table can't be directly filled not allowed.shd i make a reprot for filling the table?plz tel me the way?

if i make a matian generator here,will it be saveed in the same TR so it can be transported to PRD.

Plz help me?is there any way,so that the table with the entries in DEV can so transported to QAS so do to PRD.

Hi Vipin,

If the table maintenance is not in QAS either you assigned $TMP as the package or the table maintenance still resides in another WB-request on DEV.

If you want table entries to be copied as well, you should switch on the standard recording routine.

I had assigned the new fucn grp for this table only,its also transpoetred to QAS,all the coding for table in fucn grp is still can be seen,but i am amazed why the table matainance genr. screen of the table(SE11) not showing any fucn grp?but if u see the fucn grp,i am abale to see all the coding inside it for ztable,evn i had saved it in same TR but still amazed for it?

Plz tell me where this standard coding routing is matianed?how to reach thru it?

Hi Vipin,

To switch on the recording routine go to SE54, give the name of your table and select "Generated Objects". On the next screen there is a radio button group for "Standard recording routine".

For your problem in QAS you might try SE37 and then menu option Utilities ->Repair Func. group.

Hi this might help u.

table maintanance Generator is used to manually

input values using transaction sm30

follow below steps

1) go to se11 check table maintanance check box under

attributes tab

2) utilities-table maintanance Generator->

create function group and assign it under

function group input box.

also assign authorization group default &NC& .

3)

select standard recording routine radio in table

table mainitainence generator to move table

contents to quality and production by assigning

it to request.

4) select maintaience type as single step.

5) maintainence screen as system generated numbers

this dialog box appears when you click on create

button

6) save and activate table

One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator

Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.

Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.

Dear Vipin,

Please check ur TRs subtask.

Check object 'view Maintenance: Data' is present or not, If not Include ur TMG into the other transport request and transport it.

i had chked it,there in object list of request:Table Definition,Technical Attributes of a Table,Function Group

is there.but no View Matain is there,but the ficn grp used for maitan gener is there?

what hs di do?

shd i delete the previous generator & the func grp & make a new grp & genertor & retransport the table?

Dear Vipin,

NO need to delete the previous one. U just log into change mode,

1.change some thing temporarily(ex:Maint type) and save it.

2. press on change button it will ask u for 'Reason for change'

3.select the appropriate reason(like maint type changed, if u change the maint type).

but i am not clr with the thing that,when the table matain is there in DEV,why its not transportedt to QAS.

after a long effort this table successfuly transported to QAs,earlier was displaying error,but not when its there in QAS,its without table matianiance generatort.

i know that,if the table is activated again,its generaot has t be deleted & made again,otherwsie it will do error in transportation...if i change it,will it hv any effort on transportation?

Dear Vipin,

1.I got the same when I am transporting a new custom table, That time i did the same what I mentioned

2.It is not transported becaz that is not included into TR.

As per my knowldge it will not give any prob.

my table in DEV is avtive with its matian generator.

so what shd i do?plz explain clearly.....i am doing it 1st time...even already messed up a lot with this?

i had doen the same,i had changed the radio-button to standrad routine,saved it & it asked for the new TR.

i was earlier trying for matian type,but it was displaingits not changed..so i changed the routine type.

my TR thsi time contian the : Table Contents

Dear Vipin,

1.Transport it.

2.If u get any problem again related to TMG, Then u delete that TMG create new one and ensure that 'Definition of a Maintenance and Transport Object' included in ur subtask or not.
