Table field length Issue

Hi ,

We need to create a table field with char300, it is showing the attached error.

(Field 'XXXX' is too long (Specify a length between 1 and 255).

We are using the ECC6.0 with SAP_BASIS 700 SP 24 and SAP_APPL 600.

But we have another system with ECC 6 EHP6 in which is allowed to use Char300 data element.(SAP_BASIS 731 SP 6 and SAP_APPL 606 SP 6).

Kindly help to resolve .

Instead you can use a STRING for your use.

Hi Santanu,

Actually we are creating the table using a nugget file . This nugget file containing the table is created in (SAP_BASIS 731 SP 6 and SAP_APPL 606 SP 6).

And we are trying to import that nugget file from (SAP_BASIS 731 SP 6 and SAP_APPL 606 SP 6)  to ECC6.0 with SAP_BASIS 700 SP 24 and SAP_APPL 600 which is lower version .

As SAP allows to create a field data type char300 with more than char255 in EHP6 and the same not possible in ECC6.0.

This field i want it in char300 data type only.
