Table Control in Call Transaction

Former Member

Hi,

I have to do a BDC for a T Code 0VRF, and in that Transaction, there is a Table Control. The Problem I am facing is, while recording while recording I am getting 10 Rows in my Table Control while during actual run I am getting 14 rows in my table control. Again If I change my screen resolution this the no. of rows varies from 6 to 25 depending upon my resolution.

Now, different users will have different screen resolution, right.

Then how do I program for this.

Say, if I want to process the 100th record, how many times do I do page down to go to the 100th record.

I have to populate them in my BDCDATA, even before the control coming to the Call Transaction. And Once I call the Call Transaction, I don't have any control.

Please provide me with the solution.

Thanks in advance,

Ishaq.

Table control - do not use insert command always ,use diffrent method to get table control bdc.

Screen resolution : Use below follwing method

data: f_option type ctu_params,

f_option-updmode = 'S'.

f_option-defsize = 'X'.

f_option-dismode = 'N'.

call transaction 'ME22' using bdcdata options from f_option messages into bdcerror.

See the table control bdc logic:

report zpochange.

data : i_error like bdcmsgcoll occurs 0 with header line.

data : i_bdcdata like bdcdata occurs 0 with header line.

Hi Ishaq,

Maybe you can try to do like this:

Loop your itab.

"bdc button new

"bdc fill first grid

"bdc button save

call/submit bdc.

Endloop.

The logic is save one by one instead of you fill all the records first then at last save.

So you no need to think about the page down, scroll and other things related to it.

Each record will be at the first row.

Best Regards,

Victor.

Hi Ishaq

In table control, a system variable sy-loopc is populated with number of table control rows displayed on the screen.

With the help of this value, you can according calculate how many page downs are required.

Please award points if helpful
