System compare

Hi all!

I have a little problem and a need help for it.

We always perform client copies from one system to another by remote copies because it's a huge client.

The problem is now that we have differences between the systems very often so the remote copy will fail due this problem.

How can I compare the two systems and get a list of different objects u2013 programs and structure changes before we start this client copy.

So the developer can fix these differences? Is there a standard report for this?

Hi,

In SDN some one has submitted one code article which can be used for mass comparision of objects between systems. Right now i dont have exact link. Probably u can search the forum.

Hi Thomos,

You can do the remote comparision in SE39,

For that you need to create the RFC destination ( hope it already created in you landscape ) connting to another system from the SM59

hope it is useful to you.

Hi,

if u want compare the two programs in single screen

SE39 -

---

ABAP split screen editor is used

if you want to comapre to same program to other version

go for utilities -- >version management -->select the version -->choose remotecomparision

hi,

You can do it by Remote Comparison.

Open the object in its respective transaction.

Then go to Utilities> Versions>Version Management-->Remote Comparison

Then select RFC Destination and give the destination

and then it will give the comparision.
