Supplimentary Documentation on data element

What is the purpose of Supplimentary Documentation on data elements (both standard and custom data elements).

Hi,

Essentially, when you create a screen object and reference it directly to a data element, then the F1 help/documentation that pops up is inherited from the data element documentation.

Often, a business might not agree with the help documentation maintained by SAP for a data element like e.g. material number (MATNR_D). Hence in such a case, you can create some supplementary documentation for the data element and all screens and programs using the data element will be impacted. Including standard applications.

Hence all users will get the help on F1 which you need.
