Where are the subroutines stored? Are they stored in any tables/structures? Please help.

Subroutines are program specific,they won't store in any tables or structures.

If so, how are they being maintained. In other words how the ABAP programs are handled in DB?

Hi
subroutines are not global they r local to the program if u want to maintain them write include program and call that include program wherever u want
subroutines r not stored in R/3 where as Function module is global and stored in R/3

Subroutines are local to the program...
These will store along with the program and in the program only...
where are function module will work almost like sub routines... but these are global... these will store in function group in repository.

Hi,
Subroutines are stored within a program. It is not stored in table.
But subroutine pools are stored in table TADIR.
All the R/3 Repository Objects are stored in this table.
