SQVI Query

Hi Techies,

I am a functional consultant. I created a query using SQVI, but just heard that SQVI queries are user-specific. Is there a way I can make these global, so any user could execute the query.

Thanks in advance for your time on this,

Srikanth

Hi,

Please go to SQ01 and change query areas as Standard area (client specific) and click on the menu Query>Convert Quickview that should generate a query which every can see and use.

Hi

I believe u need to re-create the quickview as query manually: I think there isn't a tool to migrate a quickview to a query.

Thanks for your response Max. I just noticed that my SQVI quickview has an ABAP report name attached to it. That way any user can execute SE38 (if authorized to do so, of course), enter the ABAP report name and just execute it. That solves my issue for now. My issue was that the quickview I created using SQVI is not appearing to other users; so they were not able to execute it.

Hi

U will need to remember it for release upgrade.

In this situation the report will need to be generated again and only the user owner of the quickview can do it.

I had this problem on my old upgrade project:

after upgrading the release the reports generated for quickview had to be generated again, but the users created the quickview were deleted.

So I had to find out the user created the quickview, create again the user, login to SAP with this user and generate the report again.
