Hi,

I'm implementing certain notes in my system.

Could anyone let me know if anything is needed to be done in SPAU after implementing the notes, Y because for certain notes, It's been mentioned in the service marketplace that adjustment should be done in SPAU.

This is usually done after applying support packages and not individual notes. Anyway, just a brief explanation, SPAU will have objects that have been changed by customers and are no longer "standard" and there is a conflict when trying to apply the changes in the support package. So it will show up in SPAU in order to either revert to standard and then you can apply the changes manually again or accept the non standard version.

You should only really need to worry about checking SPAU after you apply a support pack or upgrade - and then you will notice that any of the OSS notes that you have manually applied - that are also included in the support pack / upgrade - will appear as items on SPAU (SPAU is showing the conflicts that are present in standard code between the upgraded system - and the changes that have manually been applied prior to the upgrade) - to be processed after the support pack / upgrade. You don't really need to worry about notes appearing in SPAU - until upgrade / support pack time - except perhaps for considering the additional analysis / work load required at upgrade time for whoever is processing the SPAU list then. So if there are a large number of OSS notes / modifications to be applied - then SPAU processing will take longer - and you should plan for that.

Hi,

Some SAP notes must be implemented manually, for instance, I remember that modifications in interface of functions modules is not possible to implement with SNOTE. So, SAP give you the possibility to run the report SCWN_REGISTER_NOTES in tcode SE38 for this note and avoid this modification in SPAU. Check in info icon in the selection screen of this report.
