sorting a string

Dear all,

I had a requirement of displaying po's along with schedule dates in a string against a material. i am able to dispaying, but here iam facing a problem of sorting that schedule dates in sort order. i unabe to dipaly dates along with po's in sort order ina string.

Create an additional field wherein it contains po's and date together.

Dont remove the original field of po's and date seperately and then you can sort accordingly.
